This work represents my attempt to recreat the idea of "the point at which action must be taken" in a tangible manner. The astute observer will notice symbols and ideas representing: Chief Pontiac, Belgian Resistance, the birth of Ganesha, chippewa indian lifestyles, celtic friendship symbols, the last supper, Hungry Ghost, Lance of Longinus, etc. Art majors will see familiar objects blantantly influenced by Dali, Bosch, and Breugel.
This work was done with Koh-I-Noor rapidiograph pens, and a boatload of time. I spent roughly 330 hours, over the course of 4 months. The original is 14" x 17", or 36cm x 42cm. I have also created detail shots for this drawing, and they can be found here: [link] [link] [link] [link] |

your work really shows how given enough talent, creativity, and time, it is possible to achieve great things. i am not an art major myself, but i have studied some good art in my time and yours definitely right up there with some of my all time favorites. awesome work. i am currently going to school to be a doctor, but you make me at least consider how great it would be to have the time and ability to create works like that.
i am floored by your attention to detail and incorporation of symbols and historical figures. thank you for creating this piece of wonder.

I fear it be in my best interest to tell you that, after viewing this recent addition to your gallery, I feel the need to marry you.
Love,
Me.
In all seriousness though, this is simply amazing. You've a great talent. One that I admire in the most highest of ways. I wish I has the time, talent and patience as you to start and finish such magnificant work.

I can try to get away, but I've strapped myself in
I can try to scratch away the sound in my ears
I can see it killing away all of my bad parts
I don't want to listen, but it's all too clear...

MY
MIND
you are god of surreal, wish i understood half of the symbolism here but it is just beautiful in it own right. the differences in texture are perfectly rendered, just cant stop staring at it

This piece represents a thorough discussion between my subconcious and my concious mind, and everyone is allowed to read the dialogue. I don't think I could be displeased with the results after a certain point, as that point breaches the line between artistic talent and artistic creativity, and allows for the spread of ideas that can be ascertained no matter what...
Thanks for your comment
